“My mother was my first country. The first place I ever lived.”
– Lands by Nayyirah Waheed
April may be national poetry month but very soon it will be May which is the month of mom. Given the circumstances this year, it’s shaping up to be a particularly difficult Mother’s Day for many as social distancing means less hugs, celebratory brunches and time spent together as an extended family. Which is simply to say that we’re thinking a lot about our moms, grandmothers and all the mother figures in our lives right now and we want to make extra sure they feel loved and celebrated during these tough times.
As an heirloom brand, we know the power of thoughtful gifts to make memories and mark the passage of time so we pulled together some of our favorite Schoolhouse pieces that we think mom would truly love.
Gifts for Mom
Over Slack last week (our working lives are much different these days!) our team also shared favorite pics of their own moms and grandmothers. It was so fun to see everyone’s cherished vintage pics that we collected them below as well. Cheers to all these special ladies for their love, guidance, hard work and sacrifices, and to all the ones in your lives too.
