Lovely in my 1940s house
I purchased this for my living room in brass with a traditional schoolhouse shade. My house unfortunately did not come with the original light fixtures and this looks great in my 1940s house. I have a mix of periods in my living room, but mostly mid-century furniture—and this fixture goes perfectly. It’s a standard 6” fitter so you can either purchase a globe from Schoolhouse, which I did did, or use a vintage globe.
I installed this easily myself and all of the parts you need are included. I’m pretty handy but this was my first time changing out a light fixture. I just needed a couple screwdrivers, voltage meter, electrical tape, and wire cutters to install. It works well with a dimmer switch.
I would purchase this again.
