by Jorie Garcia
Meditative and masterful, this series of large-scale weavings relies on salvaged denim to create a visually calming abstract portrait of modern folk art. Painstakingly woven over a period of time, each finished piece is a testament to the beauty of skilled artisan textile creation. Block-1 is one of four original weavings in our exclusive Schoolhouse Art Studio by Portland-based textile artist Jorie Garcia.
