For the first time ever, Schoolhouse will be hosting an exclusive open-house event for Design Week Portland on April 25th, 2017. Join us as we welcome renowned English graphic artist and print-maker Anthony Burrill into our flagship store and factory for a one-time-only exhibit featuring new work and iconic favorites. Known for his persuasive use of language and bold typography, his famous "Work Hard & Be Nice to People" print is one of many that have earned him notoriety within the design community at large.
A longtime collaborator and friend of Schoolhouse (read our profile on him and his work), Burrill will be hosting a Q&A session in addition to launching an exclusive, original print that will be available to purchase for the first time that night.
The evening will take place in Schoolhouse's over-century-old brick factory building in NW Portland and will include:
- Q&A with Anthony from 6:00pm-6:30pm
- A signing of his new book: Make It Now! Creative Inspiration and The Art of Getting Things Done
- Exclusive prints available for purchase
- Drinks from Union Wine Co.
- Food by Koi Fusion
This open house event will be free but tickets are limited. To reserve your spot, go to Design Week Portland and grab your tickets in advance before they get snatched up. We're thrilled be a part of Design Week this year to host Anthony and Portland's incredible design community as a whole. See you in April!
