Vintage or "Edison" style light bulbs are near and dear to our hearts. Regardless of which era you were born in, there's an undeniable sense of nostalgia that happens when you walk in to a space filled with the gentle glow of vintage reproduction bulbs. It's hard not to be drawn in by the sight of filaments set aflame. Arguably one of the greatest inventions since the discovery of fire, the incandescent light bulb has been a constant presence in modern society and an enduring symbol of the possibilities of innovation. The last decade has seen the much-needed push to develop more energy-efficient lighting options for all types of spaces. Enter the age of the LED.
Last season we launched a collection of LED light bulbs that are virtually indistinguishable in appearance from their classic incandescent counterpoints. The benefits of these LED bulbs are wide-reaching. Not only can they last up to 25 times longer than a non-LED light bulb but they typically consume anywhere from 25% to 80% less energy, making them extremely cost-effective and of course, more environmentally-friendly.
Now we're even more excited to introduce a brand new type of LED that's right up our alley: Filament LED bulbs. Like our much-beloved vintage reproduction bulbs, these LED's give you the classic Edison look thanks to a unique new technology.
