Join us Saturday, July 21st for the biggest Summer (or any season) party Schoolhouse has ever thrown. We’re turning 15 – yes, we grew up fast – and all of Schoolhouse will be out at our Portland Flagship Store to celebrate. The theme for this festival of fun is Vintage Carnival (because honestly, what’s more fun than that?) and we’re pulling out all the stops. On the docket – and our actual dock – for the day is everything from a bouncy house to face painting, a photo booth and scavenger hunts. There will be 3 live music performances outside and 15% off our entire store inside. Our studio friends at Egg Press will be hosting a sample sale for the event as well.
The most exciting news is that we'll be hosting our fist-ever Vintage Sale. If you're familiar with Schoolhouse, you'll know that vintage is a very important part of our heritage and plays a key role in our brand ethos. Over the decades, Schoolhouse owner + founder Brian Faherty has amassed quite the collection of furniture, art, and accessories from different styles and eras and we'll be opening up the archives on the dock of our flagship store. Many of these pieces have been used in catalog shoots throughout the years and we're excited to give them a chance for another life in a new home.
You can also expect to find some outstanding food, drink, and family-fun options all day long. Pine State Biscuits will be offering Marionberry Corn Pudding Pop Tarts and Tomato Jam Goat Cheese Pop Tarts plus fresh strawberry shortcake biscuits, with whip cream and candied bacon. Farmer's Lunchbox will be selling fresh, local food and Kruger’s Farm will be serving up their mouth-watering corn on the cob. Our friends from Occidental Brewing and Union Wine will be selling beer and wine. Last but not least, Fifty Licks will be onsite with their scratch-made ice-cream. Flower Bomb Floral Design will be selling potted plants, succulents, and fresh-cut flowers. Sound like fun? Then we'll see you on Saturday!
