We consider our New York City store one of the best kept secrets in the Big Apple. Filled with all the things that inspire us, our East Coast outpost is full of furniture, home accessories and, of course, lighting. Last year it received quite the facelift, and we're ready to spill the details on our new space.
With vintage finds from the Brimfield Antique Show and carefully sketched plans, our creative team and a handful of hard workers transformed the store in just a few weeks. We added new wood lighting clouds to bring warmth to the space and focused on functional, yet unexpected, storage pieces. Taking cues from our flagship store in Oregon, we added shade displays built from reclaimed floor boards from our Portland factory. A new hardware display board went up, while the old and inefficient shelving came down.
The result of our remodel is a light-filled and inspiring store. With a mixture of painted and distressed brick, warm wood and new lifestyle and lighting products, our store is a place we're proud to call home.
Store Manager Michael Brown and Sales Associates Alden Hawkins and Travis Anshus come to the Schoolhouse team having spent countless hours working in art galleries, showrooms and with vintage goods. This friendly and knowledgable trio brings the Schoolhouse Electric design and retail experience to our New York store. We encourage you to stop by and say hello! We welcome architects, interior designers and customers in search of beautiful and functional objects for their spaces.
The 1,500 square foot store is located in Tribeca, between Hudson and Greenwich streets. If you are in the neighborhood or just visiting New York, we'd love to introduce you to our refreshed store. We feel it brings our brand to life, and there's plenty of room to roam around.
